Agile Roles

Across most Bodies of Knowledge around Agile, there is agreement that 3 roles exist in Agile: Product Owner, ScrumMaster and the Committed Team.  There are many others that support the process, but all-in-all it boils down to these 3.  When you start adding official roles outside of your teams, such as a Business Analyst, Designer Lead, Architect as a committed role, then you might run into some problems.

Let’s look at why these 3 make up the balanced trifecta.

The Product Owner works with or is the actual end user.  They decide what needs to be created and in what orders.
